Friday Fill-In
I see this everyweek on alisonwonderland's blog, and I thought it looked like fun. So I'm doing it this week, hopefully the first in a long series.
1. I absolutely and completely love Christmas.
2. Purple and blue (especially at Temple Square) are my favorite colors for the Christmas tree lights.
3. The candles in the window have electric bulbs.
4. The Year Without A Santa Claus is one of my most favorite Christmas movies (But I really haven't seen very many).
5. My favorite Christmas lyrics are probably the ones from "Grown-Up Christmas List".
6. I'm dreaming of a...honestly, I don't know. The first thing that pops into my head is "White Christmas," but honestly, I don't really care too much about the weather.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to bed early (hopefully), tomorrow my plans include going to lunch and to see The Nutcracker ballet with a friend, and Sunday, I want to have gotten some sleep!

Random Thoughts #3
Random thought of the day: I can't think of one right now. Maybe just the fact that derivitives are fun. I'm really enjoying learning them. But that might just be because I'm a math geek. 8) (That's a face with glasses, in case you're wondering. Not that all geeks wear glasses.)
Random face of the day: ^_^ It's a happy face with eyes closed, and I use it a lot. So there it is. ^_^
Random song of the day: "Grown-Up Christmas List." I actually sound quite good when I sing this one, if I do say so myself.
Random quote of the day: Might add one later. Don't have one right now. :(
This one's short; sorry. Thanks for reading!

Random Thoughts #2
Random thought of the day: I feel kind of lonely. Like no one really wants me. *sigh* I guess I should probably just snap out of it and get on with my life. Ugh.
Random song of the day: "Our Song" by Taylor Swift. Because it's cute, and it's stuck in my head. Do I need more reason than that?
Random book of the day: I guess it should actually be "Random books of the day," but whatever. The Midnighters series by Scott Westerfeld. Actually, anything by him is pretty good.
This is one of my shorter random thoughts posts, but that's okay. At least I got one in today. :)

Random Thoughts #1
Random thought of the day: Um...I really can't think of one right now. Today in history, we found out that one of the only advantages the South had in the Civil War was cotton. So our teacher said, "And everyone knows cotton balls don't do much damage when shot out of guns." So I drew a comic. It was funny. But I don't have it with me, and I can't scan it, either. So you'll just have to imagine it. Have fun!
Random song of the day: Pines of Rome: First movement. Brownie points to whoever can figure out what it's called! Or maybe I'll give you a present. Or REAL brownies. XD
Random quote of the day: "I can't wait to see them so I can tell them what such scuzzes they are. Like, 'Mom and Dad, you are such scum!'"-Gazzy, Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment
Random battery of the day: AA. Because it's sitting next to me.
That's all for today! I still think this is really fun.

A Fang-style Poem
The other day in English, we had to write poems about fog. Because I had just read Maximum Ride, and was thinking about how Fang had a blog, I decided to write a poem from his point of view and then put it on my blog. So here it is!
Tired eyes open,
Stiff limbs stretch.
A glance reveals the others still asleep.
All is silent.
Outside: fog.
Thick like a blanket;
Impossible to see through.
Wings spread.
I take flight.
Wet and cold,
It hits me like a wall.
Fog is airborne water,
And I am an airborne person.
The only sound
Is the air
Displaced by my wing strokes
As I fly.
Climbing quickly.
Cool, crisp air fills my lungs.
Looking down,
Nothing but white.
Looking up,
Clear blue sky.
Free.

It's been a long time...
It's been a long time since I've posted here, either. I commented on that fact at my book blog, too.
I guess the fact that I've been so busy also says that I have a lot to blog about. In many ways, that's true. I have a couple of cross-country things I'd love to share, and I also have a pass-along game that I need to get posted. So I'll be back soon! I'll try to blog for a little bit each day, or maybe every other day. I guess we'll see what happens!

E-mail type meme
I saw this meme on alisonwonderland's blog (that's where I get most of them), and it reminded me of those "get to know you" type e-mails. I find those fun to fill out, so I decided to do this one.

MP3 meme again
I've done this meme already, but I thought it'd be fun to do it again. So what you do is you put your mp3 player on shuffle, and the song that comes up is the answer. So here it goes!
How am I feeling today? "I Believe" by Jericho RoadI must be feeling very believing today. :D
What do my friends really think of me? "What is This Feeling?" from Wicked
They...loathe me? Or maybe I loathe them.
How can I be happy? "See the Light" by Jericho Road
I can be happy by seeing the light...literally and spiritually. (Not having any sun gives you vitamin D deficiency)
What is some good advice for me? "Think of Me" by Jerico Road
I'm supposed to think of someone. Huh. (btw, this is Syaoran and Sakura's (from Cardcaptor Sakura, not Tsubasa) theme song, proclamed by me)
What is the story of my life? "The Other Side of Me" by Hannah Montana
I guess this means I wish people would see the other side of me, although they don't really.
How will I be remembered? "Typical Girl" by Cheri Magill
I refuse to be your typical girl,I guess this means I'll be remembered as not being the same as everyone else, and doing things my own way.
There's plenty of her in this world
What do I think my current theme song is? "Reluctant Hero" by Cheri Magill
What is it you want me to do?I can see where this one applies. Lately everyone's been dumping their problems on me, which completely drains me, leaving me a mess. I've thought of this as my theme song before, too.
You fill up and leave me here at zero
Now it's time that I resign as your reluctant hero.
What does everyone else think my current theme song is? "Just Like You" by Hannah Montana
This is a lot like "The Other Side of Me", saying that although I may seem different, I'm actually a lot the same.
What should I do with my life? "I Could Get Used to This" by Everlife
I'm not entirely sure what this one means...I just realized it was a great Edward and Bella song, though. :)
What is my best feature? "Praise the Man" from EFY 2005
Once again, not sure what this means...maybe my spirituallity?
What describes my secrets? "Green Into Gold" by David Lanz
Does that mean my secrets are just sort of there, like green, but really are gold? Who knows?!
How do I treat others? "Dancing Through Life" from Wicked
I treat others lightly, just kinda going with it? Or that I try to convince people to just treat things lightly?(Some of these are confusing...)
What's in store for this weekend? "Conviction Of the Heart" by Jericho Road
Well, I will be going to church...
That one made a whole lot more sense than the last one, so I'm glad it worked out. It is kind of funny that I would get 4 of the 7 Jericho Road songs on here, but no High School Musical, Ella Enchanted, or more of Everlife, Wicked, or Classical. Who knows?

Scattergories Meme
I saw alisonwonderland doing this meme, and I thought it looked like fun, so I decided to do it as well. You take the first letter of your first name and think of things that start with that letter for each category. My name is Elisabeth, so I'll be using the letter "E."

Happy birthday dear, smart, sexy, funny, sweet, gorgeous, and anything-else-I-forgot Edward;
Happy birthday to you!

Drinking Straws!!!
1. What's your favorite beverage to suck up through a straw?
I like drinking soda through a straw, because of the bubbles.
2. Do you prefer the ordinary straight straws, or the crazy, colorful, twisted straws?
How about bendy straws? I don't like them if they're totally straight, and they're too crazy if they're all twisted and things.
3. Do you ever make those loud sucking noises at the end of the drink to annoy other people? And does that annoy you?
Sometimes I do it to annoy people (if they are people I know won't get too annoyed), but my brother does it way too much, and that annoys me.
4. Name one thing to do with a drinking straw other than using it to drink.
How about name one thing to use as a drinking straw for using it to drink? I like using the Redvines as straws; if you bite off both ends, it's hollow inside.
